I’m not sure what possessed me to Jailbreak my iPhone 3GS today. I suppose I was bored, and getting tired of missing some Cydia Apps like Status Notifier.
I wasn’t sure which Jeailbreak to use, purplera1n courtesy of Hotz or redsn0w courtesy of the trusted Devteam. After reading some trusted reviews as well as watching a few videos I decided to opt for purplerain. With the release of RC2 it seems that most of the bugs have been addressed and the process looked way easier.
I ran purplera1n on my Macbook Pro, click once or twice and within 5 minutes I was up and running with Cydia installed. Purplera1n was the easiest Jailbreak I’ve ever used. No DFU mode, no restoring, just plug in your 3GS, click and go!
I highly recommend purplerain for those of you who are looking to JB your 3GS.
