Microsoft Retail Stores Are On The Way!
1 year, 1 month ago Posted in: STUFF View Comments

Kevin Turner, COO of Microsoft, announced yesterday that we can expect to see Microsoft Retail stores rolling out fall 2009. I guess someone at Microsoft finally realized that Apple is doing something right when it comes to their retail environments and “one to one” support.

It’s rumored that Microsoft will be opening their stores in very close proximity to existing Apple stores and will be changing their colourful Windows logo to a metallic looking window frame. Okay, I made the last part up. What is interesting however, is that the launch of these retail stores looks awfully close the the official launch time for Windows 7. Kevin, you sneaky bugger you…

It seems that Microsoft is finally recognizing Apple as a threat, rather than ignoring the fact that Apple is steadily crawling up the market share ladder and laughing at “gizmos” like the iPhone.

If Apple has the Mac Genius what will Microsoft cleverly label their team of tech-geeks?
