I’ve run Xbench a few more times, this time running only CPU tests and while booted in 64 bit and 32 bit (default). My Macbook Pro consistently scores 10-15 points higher in the speed tests while booted in 64 bit.

I just installed Snow Leopard on my Macbook Pro 3.06Ghz. So far I haven’t noticed much in the way of a visual upgrades rather than the menu options looking a little different and Snow Leopard overwriting all of my custom settings.

There has been some buzz in recent weeks over the speed of 3G not quite making the grade. In Canada, I feel that we’re actually getting a better deal than in the U.S. as Rogers is doing a much better job of providing almost 3G speeds when compared to AT&T which is more like EDGE. [...]
Rogers has officially started to roll out their HSPA+ network, which effectively takes the current 7.1Mbps 3G speeds and bumps it to a whopping 21Mbps. upload speeds of about 5.7Mbps (unconfirmed).
